Cardiovascular Medicine
Introduction
The Cardiology Department deals with heart and vascular diseases. In order to prevent disease, we also carefully manage early stages such as high blood pressure, dyslipidemia, and diabetes. If these diseases are left untreated, they can lead to serious heart disease. In addition, since symptoms of heart disease often appear suddenly, we are always prepared to respond quickly. We will propose the best treatment for those who have already developed heart disease, and work with patients to prevent recurrence and improve their quality of life.
Characteristics of this department
In the Department of Cardiology, we mainly diagnose and treat heart diseases such as angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, valvular disease, cardiomyopathy, and arrhythmia. We also manage lifestyle-related diseases such as hypertension, dyslipidemia, metabolic syndrome, and sleep apnea syndrome. We actively perform minimally invasive treatments such as percutaneous coronary intervention for angina pectoris and myocardial infarction and catheter ablation for arrhythmia. We also diagnose microvascular angina, which has been difficult to diagnose in patients with angina symptoms, by examining coronary flow reserve. We provide emergency cardiovascular care 24 hours a day to respond to the increase in acute heart failure cases associated with aging. For patients who require urgent care such as cardiogenic shock or cardiac arrest, we provide mechanical support devices such as IABP and ECMO, and strive to improve survival rates and social reintegration rates.
