Hematology
Characteristics of this department
In the Department of Hematology, we provide a wide range of medical care not only to patients suspected of having a blood disease due to abnormal white blood cell, red blood cell, or platelet counts, the appearance of abnormal cells, swollen lymph nodes, or abnormal blood coagulation, as indicated in health checkups, but also to patients who have been diagnosed with a blood disease (benign diseases such as iron deficiency anemia and idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, and hematopoietic tumors such as leukemia, myelodysplastic syndrome, malignant lymphoma, and multiple myeloma) at their regular medical institution.
Currently, this department provides outpatient care by part-time doctors.
For diseases that require hospitalization, we will refer you to a medical institution we collaborate with.
