Nephrology
Introduction
The kidney is said to be a silent organ, with few subjective symptoms, and by the time symptoms are noticed, the disease has often already progressed. There are a large number of patients with chronic kidney disease, about 13 million, and early intervention is thought to be able to avoid or delay the introduction of dialysis, which can be expected to maintain and improve quality of life and extend a healthy lifespan. In our department, we provide a planned introduction of hemodialysis therapy for chronic kidney disease and other renal replacement therapies to the wishes of the patient and their family.
Characteristics of this department
We provide total care for the treatment, prevention, and early treatment of kidney disease and acute dialysis, as well as conservative treatment for kidney failure and the introduction of dialysis.
In cooperation with the Cardiovascular Surgery Department, we have improved from the previous emergency introduction of dialysis catheters to planned introduction.
In cooperation with the Dialysis Medical Center, we perform blood purification treatments.
