Characteristics of this department

We can mainly treat routine pediatric surgical conditions such as inguinal hernias and umbilical hernias. Surgery and specialized tests will be performed at facilities affiliated with Osaka University Pediatric Surgery (Osaka University, Osaka City General Medical Center, etc.), but examinations will be performed at our hospital after the patient is in stable condition after surgery. Pediatric surgery deals with a wide variety of disease types and treatment methods.

Pediatric surgery deals with a wide variety of disease types and treatment methods. We will suggest the most suitable treatment, including surgical treatment. You can also feel free to consult with us or introduce us to cases in which you are unsure whether surgical treatment is appropriate in your daily practice, cases in which you are unsure whether detailed examination is required, cases in which the child has difficulty controlling his/her bowel movements, etc.

Main diseases

Inguinal hernia, umbilical hernia, scrotal hydrocele, undescended testis, phimosis, labial fusion, perianal abscess, constipation (abnormal defecation), fistula/cyst in the head and neck, accessory ear, pectus excavatum, etc.
